Harddrive changed mount point

When a harddrive change mount point suddenly, it can be a pain. It, however, happens for a reason. The drives old mount path and point have been taken by a ordinary folder, and therefor cannot be mounted there. If you delete this folder, the harddrive will mount to the correct, old path.

  • Go to /Volumes
  • See if the old mounting-point/path is taken by another folder
  • Remove that folder.
  • Restart computer
  • Wollah! (Its fixed!)
